Training
OTS provides a diverse range of training courses to various workplaces, as well as to members of the public for several citizen science programs.
Our training modules are designed to get people job ready and provide them with the knowledge required to continue developing their skills in bird identification and management.
OTS has provided this service for a range of different industries including: airports (read more on the Aviation Ornithology page), resource and mining, offshore (oil rigs), and for a range of recreational purposes. OTS also provides training courses for bird survey skills such as citizen science migratory shorebird monitoring for conservation.
We provide tailor-made training workshops to meet all audiences with a range of skill levels and industry requirements. Many of our workshops include a formal assessment at the end which provides necessary accreditation for some regulators.
